Before

In this picture, the model is wearing only
mascara. Notice how intense her hair and eye color are, especially compared to her skin.
High contrast between hair/eyes and skin tone is often typical of intense coloring.
Because her coloring is so intense, she looks better without makeup than many people with
more fair coloring. However, without color on her face, her skin tends to go very pale.

After
In this picture, the model is wearing quite a lot of
makeup. But the makeup doesn't look "overdone" because her coloring is so
intense. Foundation helps even out her skin tone. Wearing a warm color next to her face
flatters her naturally warm skin tones, and keeps her skin from going white. Wearing warm
colors in lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush, adds a sparkle to her eyes and a glow to her
skin. |
The Makeover
Here is what we did:
Used foundation to smooth out the model's
skin tone and skin texture.
Used eyeliner & eyeshadow to emphasize
her eyes.
Contoured her cheekbones and added color to
her face with blush.
Defined her lips with lip liner and
lipstick.
Contoured her cheekbones and jawline with a
darker color.
