ModestProm Custom Gown Kit ModestProm.com's Custom Gown Kit lets you create beautiful gowns that are custom-fit to your measurements! Custom Gowns will fit you beautifully. Best of all, it's far easier than fitting a traditional pattern - because pattern-drafting software creates the pattern for you! The Custom Gown Kit consists of two parts: 1) Click 'n Sew pattern-drafting software for a basic dress. This software lets you create dress patterns that are custom-fit to your measurements. You simply install the software and enter a series of 23 measurements which tell the software exactly how your body is proportioned. You then choose style options, review your pattern, and print the pattern pieces on sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper, which you can tape together to create the final pattern. Click 'n Sew software costs just a little more than a traditional sewing pattern ($19.95). However, it is an excellent value, because it can be used over and over again to create numerous dress patterns! 2) ModestProm.com's instructions for creating a formal gown. The Click 'n Sew software offers numerous basic dress options. However, the software requires a few minor style modifications in order to produce a formal gown pattern. | Custom Gown Instructions Install Software. Place the Click 'n Sew CD-Rom in your computer's CD-rom drive and follow the instructions to install the software (this is a very easy process that takes about 5 minutes). Enter measurements. Once the software is installed, you will see a screen where you can enter a series of measurements. In my experience, the software is very accurate in creating patterns that fit the measurements you enter. So it's very important that you take good, accurate measurements to ensure that your dress will fit well. Follow the prompts to enter the measurements. Choose style options. Now you're ready to create your dress pattern. It takes a little tweaking to do this, but not much. Choose the options based on the dress you wish to create. Preview pattern pieces. Click the Print pattern pieces. Tape 8.5 x 11 paper together to create final patterns. Cut out dress. Sew dress. |
